     When you like a message or a question means that you agreed with what your fellow SWOM members have posted in their SWOM news feed. The goal of the new feature is to promote quality interaction among SWOM members and to reduce the dreaded spam.

     In the new system, you have to receive “likes” first before you can earn points while doing the following activities:

1.       Writing a message +2  points to writer (+1 point to voter)

2.       Asking a question in the SWOM Open University +5 points per vote

3.       Answering to questions +10 points per vote

        Is there any likes and points limitations per day? Yes, there are limitations. You can like up to 50 activities per day. Voting up limitations for questions and answers still apply at 20 per day. Community points (the total points that you earned while interacting in the SWOM community) is still 200 points per day but community chests are immune this limit.

     What would happen if I liked more than once? If by accident you liked a message more than once, it is still counted as one. Don’t worry, there is no penalty for this but it would be tiresome to like a message more than once when it is still counted as one.

     What do these changes in SWOM imply? These changes are implemented to encourage quality interaction with the SWOM members because social network marketing involves good social relationships. STEP 1 Go to http://swom.com in your web browser.

STEP 2 On the upper right portion of your web browser, you will find “LOG IN”. Hover your mouse over it and do a right click on your mouse. New Menu bar will pop out and select “OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB”

STEP 3 In the new tab, you will be prompt to log in. You will need to provide your email address and your password so that you can log-in. If you don’t have an account yet, you can register in the SWOM community by clicking here.

STEP 4 After you have log in to your account, go back to your old tab and scroll down until you will find the list of RECENT MEMBERS on the right portion. This is how it looks.

STEP 5 Let your mouse hover over the portrait of the selected SWOM members then right click. After you do the right click, select the “OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB”. A new tab will appear.

*It is advisable to repeat STEP 5 several times first before proceeding to STEP 6.

STEP 6 Go to the new tab and scroll down until you find “Connect with *SWOM member’s name* to post messages in their wall”. Left click on it to connect.
